Center Parcs

So here it goes...

07 May 2012 - We begin our holiday by undergoing a shop @ Sainsburys for food for the week, we spent £60. Steve and I arrive at the Center Parc's car park @ 14:55 and are greeted by Ryan pounding & swearing at his car because he's lost his keys. FYI: It's raining & we're in the woods so it's a bit of a catastrophe. Prior to discovering Ryan's whereabouts we'd actually spent twenty minutes trying to call him (alas no reception) whilst we were sat in the carpark but as it turns out, he was parked behind us and stood outside our car looking in all along. We finally arrive at the villa = 603 Maple district. Steve & I won the best room with the bath via rock, scissors, paper. This made Ryan angry, he vowed to practice Rock, Scissors, Paper for the future. Ryan went to use the loo in his new bathroom but there was a huge shit in it (not his). We complained & got red wine & chocolate. We hired our bikes (£20 for the week) and then went to sub tropical paradise pool. Steve had a stroke in the rapids. Rented '30 minutes or less' by the makers of 'zombie land'on DVD at the park market.

QOTD
KC: 'Ryan you don't even like swimming'
 Ryan: ' I don't swim, I just bob up & down' .

08 May 2012 - We explored the park on our bikes. Decided against massages as they were extortionately priced £40+ for 25 minutes. Had a go on a pedalo on the lake but Ryan wasn't happy because he wanted to go jet skiing or go ape (being the adrenaline junkie he is?!?). Got on our bikes and sped home for lunch, Steve and I had salad pittas/Ryan and KC had Jacket potatoes. Steve drew a chicken on the blackboard but it had four legs. Once consumed, we headed to the sports plaza and played badminton and squash and Ryan and Katherine beat us twice in two games of doubles (I felt cheated). After activity we biked home, Steve and I had curry, Ryan and KC had a BBQ. KC announced she was moving to Australia cause she has no ties in the UK. In addition, KC accurately established that Steve shares the mannerisms of Tamwa from Eastenders. We played the logo game together on our iPads.

QOTD Ryan: 'Unlucky Kentucky'

09 May 2012 - We rode to the lake on our bikes and decided to play mini golf. I needed to toilet (No. 1) by the second hole so it wasn't as fun for me as it could have been (I need to see a doctor). We decided to go to the SPA in the evening (Picture provided below for your viewing pleasure) so rode home to the villa until we had to be there at 6pm. This was by far my favourite activity and my highlight of 2012 so far (what a humble life I lead), there were various types on steam rooms and saunas, a heated outside pool, waterbeds, free apples etc etc, all very lovely. After the Spa we went home and I consumed some WKD (Blue) and went to bed.

10 May 2012 - Last day. We rode our bikes into the centre of the park and played badminton and squash for a couple of hours. Ryan didn't take his performance enhances AKA 'roids' so Steve and I managed to thrash him and Katherine in badminton doubles twice (I was thrilled). Afterwards, we went to Starbucks (I had a medium plain coffee frapp) then Ryan and Steve went swimming. Katherine and I rode home on our bikes and had lunch. Later that evening we went to 'Huqs' for dinner (an on-site restaurant) which is basically Zacks, I like burgers and chips so this was fine by me. I had two cocktails, one was a Mojito (my fave). We finished off our last evening playing ten pin bowling and Steve was the best even without roids.

11 May 2012 - We got up and made a quick exit from the park for 10am.

All in all, I would highly recommend Center Parcs and suggest we look for a deal whereby You, Helen and I can go for a long weekend and Spa sesh.

Life On Mars

Because I'm extremely lazy (only from an IT p.o.v NOT hitting it hard and getting totes buff @ the gym p.o.v) I thought that the best way to present an update on my life would be by the way of 'collage' (From the French  à coller, to glue).

So in the words of our good friend Kel Kimble: "Aww, here it goes!"

 1. My beautiful Peanut/2. My face as I know you love & miss it/3. Wetherspoons hot chocolate/4. Waiting for a lift in the rain (standard protocol for the last couple of weeks)/5. Large sweet waffle from the 'Waffle House' with pistachios, raspberries, vanilla cream cheese & chocolate sauce./6. 'Life on Mars' my recent hobby & police procedural passion 7. New favourite eyeshadow: Maybelline 'Colour Tattoo 24hr ' shadow in shade 35 - On and on Bronze. It's great, stays on all day, doesn't crease and easier to apply than powdered shadow./8. Current lip product: Revlon 'Colorburst' Lip Butter in shade 015 - Tutti Frutti. Moisturising enough that I don't look to my vaseline but the colour doesn't stick around for long./9. Self-explanatory and wrong but I need the fantasy of being somewhere exotic/10-12. 30th April 2012, My flex day & the only day of Summer I've experienced in 2012 so far (a day off well chosen).

Need to get Buff!

You're probably not aware but I've been experiencing some severe pain in the top part of my shin (below the knee of my left leg) the day after running on the treadmill.

I've put on a few pounds recently (stress/sadness induced) and as such it's important to me that I address this issue before it gets any worse. So I bought some new running trainers as people have suggested this could possible be the route of my problem (fingers crossed).

I got them from sportsshoes.com following a home test recommend on their site to ascertain foot type (there is a special word for this but I'm typing this blog on my iPhone and it's hard enough to type let alone check bollocks like that). I determined I on needed a support shoe so decided on these beauties.

Hopefully they'll perform as good as they look!...I'll let you know the outcome.

My Magical New iPhone Case

I couldn't actually be any more proud. Not only is it practical (protecting my stylish communication device from scratches and scrapes) but it's also a picture of beauty.

I will try to acquire some more great things to boast about on here but until then...

Week ending 4th December

Apart from bailing on my work Christmas do, there's been only two things worth blogging about this week.

They are:

1. My wonderful MB Christmas CD
2. My decision to fulfil my life's ambition of having feminine hands by embracing false nails.

Long weekend

So It's been pretty hectic at work of late and I've been going a bit mad. I decided to take a 'flex day' on Friday (25th November) and a days holiday on Monday (28th November), Saturday - Sunday are freebies.

I had high hopes of how I was going to spend my time: quality time with myself, relaxing etc. but unfortunately I'm absolutely useless at relaxing and I didn't really have the fulfilling time I thought I was going to have. But like B*witched once said: C'est la vie.

Steve and I watched 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Friday night. It's your classic American big-budget event and you really have to suspend your belief throughout. To be honest, ever since I saw that documentary about the woman who had her face and arms ripped off by a chimp (gruesome stuff) my feelings towards them have changed, no longer do I think of them as the friendly PG tips drinking/friends of Michael Jackson but violent predators waiting to take over the planet!

Friendly Chimps

As per your last blog, we've downloaded 'Our Idiot Brother' and look forward to watching it shortly.

Sunday, Steve and I went to the Mad Moose for lunch (as we had a 20% off voucher!) I had sweet chili chicken noodles, he had a pork roast dinner. After dinner and on my request, we went to ASDA (<3) to buy food for the week. I ditched the gym in favour of getting in bed to watch the new series of 'Misfits' on 4OD. I wasn't entirely impressed, my favourite character has left (that Irish one).

Monday/Today was/is the best day. I got my lazy bottom out of bed, drove Steve to work, got to the gym for 9:30am (I've lost my blasting edge a bit) then had a walk round town . Upon returning home I walked my Puggy and did the washing up.

I wish I could tell you that I'd bought loads of lovely stuff recently but I haven't because I am totes skint.
There's lots and lots of things I want (naturally) I have made you a little collage of a few items. Enjoy.
1. Knitted Penguin Jumper - £50 - Topshop

Check out this link, it's AWESOME: www.fuzzynation.com. They sell them in Jarrolds but they didn't have a Pug one :(

I can't get enough of these bad boys. I could drink them every day.

Recent events in my life:

Brother Ryan moved in!
He's made himself at home in my spare room (formally your Sponge Bob room) even purchasing the most disgusting piece of furniture from Argos I have ever seen...

If it's possible for a shitty 'Wardrobe' to transport you back to New York this is it.
